Worldschool Pop-Up Hub
Week-long gatherings designed to bring worldschoolers together to develop community and explore our planet.
What this is
Rachel Carlson and her family have brought worldschooling families together in over 100 cities across 6 continents, with more than 700 families participating to date. The format is elegantly simple: a week-long gathering in a new city, where families meet up, explore together, and build the kind of fast friendships that only happen when everyone's on the same wavelength.
In 2026, the Pop-Up Hub is running gatherings across 11 cities: Athens, Varna, Lisbon, Vancouver, Medellín, San Francisco, Sibiu, Mendocino, Warsaw, Austin, and Vienna — spanning May through July. Each pop-up is independent, so you can join one or string several together as part of a longer travel itinerary.
There's no formal curriculum or childcare — this is community-first. You arrange your own accommodation in the host city, show up to the group events, and let the connections happen. It's ideal for families who are already traveling and want to drop into a ready-made community for a week without the commitment of a longer program.
