What this is
Residential English summer courses at nine campuses, from Downside's 500-acre estate near Bath to Pepperdine University in Malibu. Kids and teens from around the world share classes and activities, with nationalities mixed so English becomes the common language.
Students take 15 hours of English a week, beginner to advanced, plus sports, evening events and weekly excursions. Ages run 8–17 and vary by campus; others include Ascot, Berkshire, central London, Exeter, Newcastle and New York. Courses last one to four weeks, starting weekly late June through mid-August, with full board and 24-hour supervision. Add-ons include horse riding, golf and surfing.
Best fit for international families who want their child building English on a British or American campus.
