What this is

A year-round family Spanish program at Intercultura Costa Rica, with a historic city campus in Heredia and a beach campus in Playa Sámara.

Parents and kids ages 8 to 17 attend their own classes simultaneously — four hours a day, Monday to Friday — with flexible weekly start dates. Families can stay with a Costa Rican host family, in Intercultura's student residence or apartments, or arrange their own housing.

Classes are priced per person. For 2027, kids' classes are $365 a week in Heredia and $380 a week in Sámara. Parents' classes are $345 a week in Heredia and $365 a week in Sámara, with lower rates for stays of five weeks or more. Housing is priced separately.
