What this is
German immersion for kids 8–12, run like a small boarding school: bedrooms usually sit in the same building as the classrooms, and only German is spoken, in class and out.
Kids take 25 German lessons a week, total beginners included, plus daily activities and a weekly excursion. Lindenberg im Allgäu, in the foothills of the Alps, runs year-round with start dates almost every week; Bad Schussenried, a monastery town between Lake Constance and the Danube, runs in summer, both for ages 10–12. Reimlingen welcomes ages 8–12 in July, with an optional riding course. Stays start at two weeks, with full board and 24-hour supervision.
Best fit for families who want full German immersion, with classmates from dozens of countries.
