What this is

A week-long conservation camp at Le Rosey's eco-lodge in Kenya's Chyulu Hills, on Maasai land at the edge of Tsavo National Park, looking across to Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge runs fossil fuel-free.

Teens 13–17 head out on Maasai-guided walking and jeep safaris, study cloud-forest biodiversity with a botanist, plant trees, sit down with Maasai elders, and share sports and crafts with Maasai children. Up to 30 campers sleep in tents with en-suite bathrooms, and English and French are used daily. The group flies out from Geneva with Le Rosey teachers. One-week sessions run in July, with full board, activities and Nairobi air transfers included.

For teens who want hands-on conservation and community work alongside a safari.
