What this is

Residential language camps in Swiss mountain and lake villages, where international and local Swiss kids share classes of about six in French, German or English. Ski and snowboard weeks in the Pays du St-Bernard pair 15 hours on the slopes with 12 hours of language.

Camps take ages 8–17, varying by camp, with Sunday starts in winter, spring, summer and autumn. The home base is friLingue's own chalet in Liddes, in the Valais Alps between France and Italy; summer adds Braunwald, lakeside Estavayer-le-Lac and an all-English camp at Schwarzsee. Theme weeks add tennis, football, maths, media, adventure or leadership. Full board and 24-hour supervision are included.
