Camp California
International summer camp with sailing and adventure on Croatia's Dalmatian coast — 20+ years running
What this is
An international residential summer camp on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, based in Pakoštane — a small seaside town between Zadar and Split. Running for over 20 years, Camp California brings an American-style camp experience to the Adriatic: sailing, swimming, team sports, arts, and cabin life.
The camp offers one-week and two-week residential sessions for ages 7–16, plus dedicated Teen Adventure and Teen Sailing tracks for older campers. Sailing is the signature activity — the Adriatic's calm, clear waters and steady winds make it one of the best learn-to-sail environments in Europe. Two-week sessions run approximately €900–1,200.
Zadar airport is the closest, about 30 minutes away. Split is about 90 minutes south. The Dalmatian coast is warm, sunny, and stunningly beautiful — think pine-fringed beaches, island-dotted waters, and medieval stone towns.
