Altitude Camps
Mountain multi-sport camp in Verbier with optional French/English lessons
What this is
A mountain adventure camp in the Swiss Alps since 2001, Altitude Camps welcomes an international mix of children ages 3–14 for day camp or residential week-long sessions. The camp is known for small class sizes, excellent staff-to-camper ratios (1:8 for most ages, 1:4 for the youngest), and a genuinely inclusive atmosphere.
Activities include climbing, orienteering, hiking, survival skills, and mountain exploration. Optional French and English language lessons are available if you want to add an educational component. The camp draws from 40+ countries, creating a naturally multilingual environment.
Verbier is a world-renowned mountain resort town in the Swiss Valais region, about 60 kilometers from Geneva and accessible in roughly 90 minutes by car. The town is surrounded by year-round hiking, and the views across the Alps are extraordinary. Week-long sessions run from CHF 975–2,950 depending on whether you choose day camp or residential, and your child's age. For families considering residential camp, this is an excellent introduction — the mountains are spectacular, the staff is warm, and kids genuinely thrive in the Verbier environment.
